According to the NAHS,a house is considered affordable if mortgage payments are 28% or less of total household income.This includes property taxes and insurance.The National Association of Home Builders has compiled statistics rating the country's most affordable communities based on its own Housing Opportunity Index. Indianapolis- If you are looking for an affordable home for sale look no further than Texas.The nation’s most affordable housing market had the lowest median household income. With a median selling price of $187,700 it's pretty easy to find affordable homes for sale. Texas has 3 cities in the top 10.

Ohio, Tulsa, Okla. Billings, Mont. and Fort Worth, Texas. Have you ever found yourself complaining about
