Research has shown that looking in the outskirts of the city is a good general rule of thumb to follow. Not only can you find cheap apartments for rent, you can get into a quality apartment and still be close to work. Also ask yourself what features are important to you. Are you looking for a furnished apartment to rent, two bedrooms, three bedrooms, how many bathrooms, storage, etc. Once you have determined these factors pick up a magazine from your local store and thumb through it or better yet look online. Buyer beware! When looking at apartments it is important to consider the surrounding community. So survey the area carefully before making your finally decision. Also consider how far everything is in proximity. Know that you wont have to travel too far to get what you need. Ideally find an apartment complex that is low on tenants and is offering move in specials.
